Pre Cues

Have you ever been following someone in your car or truck and all of the sudden they turn or change lanes with no signal? It catches us off guard, is upsetting and many times makes for a dangerous situation. If they would have just given some kind of signal.....a pre que....of what they were going to do, it would have been fine. This is what our horses often times feel like when we ask them to do something without giving a known pre que. Pre ques are a great way to let our horses know we are getting ready to ask them to do something and allows them that moment in time to zone back in on us, the ride and the task at hand. - John
